Promoting Swiss Public Transport – Responsibly​

Travelling by public transport helps to make tourism more sustainable. It saves CO2 and supports local providers. Swiss Travel System AG contributes to a more sustainable society through our Swisstainable Level 1 certification, our corporate values and strategy, and a series of measures and initiatives.

Our sustainability strategy:
Top down, bottom up​

STS AG is certified Swisstainable Level 1.​ We are dedicated to sustainable corporate management and are continuously improving our operation’s sustainability.​

Top down​

The Executive Board aims to achieve Swisstainable Level 2 certification by the end of 2026.​

Bottom up​

STS AG staff measure their ecological footprint, identify potential improvements, set SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Reasonable, Time-bound) and participate in monthly initiatives. ​

How we're improving sustainability at STS AG.​

  • Regular STS AG sustainability measures ​– Such as a monthly Vegi-Day and air travel awareness seminars. ​

  • Ecological footprint monitoring – We have measured our scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2 emissions since 2022.

  • Carbon offsetting – We have been offsetting our CO2 emissions through the financing of local projects since 2022. 

  • Corporate Responsibility Day – Since 2025, the STS AG team has dedicated one day a year to a sustainable cause.
