Mandatory seat reservations for travellers to Jungfraujoch from 1 May

During high season, Jungfrau Railways will introduce a mandatory paid seat reservation for journeys to Jungfraujoch. From 1 May to 31 August 2025, seat reservations will be compulsory and cost CHF 10.

Reservations are available for the Eigergletscher – Jungfraujoch and Kleine Scheidegg – Jungfraujoch routes, making your customers’ journey even more comfortable and stress free.

Reserving their seat in advance comes with the following benefits:

  • Guaranteed time slot – Customers can reserve a fixed time slot on the Eiger Express from Grindelwald Terminal or the Jungfrau Railway from Kleine Scheidegg, ensuring maximum planning reliability.
  • No waiting times – Say goodbye to unnecessary waits when transferring to the Jungfrau Railway at Eigergletscher station. The journey runs smoothly and efficiently.
  • Guaranteed seat – Customers are assured a non-numbered seat on their booked Jungfrau Railway connection. They can sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views on their way to the Top of Europe.

Please note that a valid travel ticket is required in addition to the seat reservation.
